After a much needed night of rest, we were a bit more rested and anxious to tour Paris.  Our day started with a bus tour of the city.  Our guide, Karen, took us to the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame Cathedral, Concorde Square, and the Latin Quarter.  Karen gave us insight into the medieval city of Paris as well as the French Revolution.   We also were able to take pictures in front of the Arc de Triumphe and the Eiffel Tower.  After a city tour, we had time for lunch and some shopping at the Louvre Museum.  The Louvre Museum houses some of the most famous pieces of artwork in the world.  We were all able to see the Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa as well as the sculpture Winged Victory of Samothrace.  We enjoyed free time around the museum to visit various different pieces of art.

After our museum visit, we had free time in Paris to shop and walked down the Champs-Elysees.  We met up with some of Mrs. Dupre’s friends from France and practiced our French while enjoying coffee in a cafe.  After a short metro ride, we meet our tour guide, Geraldine, outside of Notre Dame Cathedral.  We had a delicious dinner before our night boat tour on the Siene River.   It was a beautiful view of the city.  We all enjoyed our last night in Paris and looked forward to our travels to the southern region of France.
