A school’s mascot is as essential to the identity of the school as the name itself. Donoho’s beloved Falco has been a symbol for Donoho sports for the entirety of his existence. The mascot brings the symbol of Donoho to life and represents the sportsmanship and determination of Donoho athletes.

Our mascot and senior, Cory van Ekris, has been Falco for the past 3 years. Cory’s favorite part about being Falco is having the chance rile up the crowd and meet with all the little kids, who enjoy watching him cheer. He says the hardest part about being the mascot is the heavy and really hot costume, but he believes it is worth it. We will all be very sad to see Cory go, as he has done a wonderful job in his role as Falco for several years.
