Swim Season 2018

Slade Haney, Sean Keel, Artsiom Budrevick, and Jack Ballard of the Donoho Swim team have had a great season. Slade has earned personal records in the 100 butterfly, 100 free, 50 butterfly, free, breaststroke, and backstroke. He even earned a PR in the 200 IM and 100 IM. Sean has gotten many PR’s himself. So far this season, the boys have participated in the War Eagle Invitational, the Birmingham Sprint, and the Cranberry Classic. On November 3rd and 4th the boys competed in the Cranberry Classic, and shortly after, they competed in County (November 5th). They were competing for the school and trying to bring home first place, and they did! I talked to Slade and asked him what his proudest moment has been and he responded with, “Getting under 57 seconds in the 100 free and getting 25 seconds in the 50 free.” I also asked Slade what he hopes for the county meet and he said that they will be “working hard this weekend to get our third county championship in a row.” I also got to talk to Sean and asked him what his greatest accomplishment has been this season. He said, “My greatest accomplishment this season would be gaining strength and stamina, dropping time in my events, and making it to sectionals in more than one event.” The Donoho Swim team has had a great season so far and we can’t wait to see what they do in the future!
