Disney Day 3

1 Mar 2017, 10:50 PM
Tuesday was a late night, and sadly, Wednesday was a very, early morning. Although it was 7 AM when we arrived at Magic Kingdom, we were awoken quickly when we rode Space Mountain with the lights on. This provided us with a visual of the physics behind roller coasters. Things like G-force, acceleration, and velocity have a major effect not only on roller coasters but on everyday objects as well. Disney incorporates all of these components of physics along with elements of entertainment to make their attractions so unique. I mean, who wouldn’t want to get spit on by Stitch? We also went on the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin to learn about hydraulics and Thunder Mountain to learn about centripetal force. By the end of the day, I accomplished riding Splash Mountain three times aka one of the best days ever. Campbell Hagan
